Heimdall and Loki

Heimdall often counters Loki, even following him as a seal once.  I have always felt this means that he can, for a short time and in specific ways, do what Loki does to oppose him.  What do others think?

I think Loki is a teacher, he makes you learn the hard way!! ware as Heimdall would like you to learn on your Owen terms!

By that logic, it would seem both can get to most of the same places. Now, can you answer the same question vis a vis Loki and Odin?

Speaking as one who... has complicated involvement with old One-eye... all I can answer that with, is I have a hard time telling the two apart sometimes.

er that's a very brief summation of a very long story.
